Joel Grant scored a late equaliser as they came from behind to draw 1-1 at 22, to save a point.
14 minutes struck from time to cancel out the first-half opener of Eoin Doyle.
In a first half of few chances, Doyle made it 1-0 in stoppage time until dinking the ball over the onrushing Michael Peck, after dashing.
Grant levelled from the left side of the box with a finish to send the Green Army that was well-travelled .
Plymouth will truly feel that the share of the spoils were warranted, given that proceedings were only about edged by the side of Ryan Lowe .
Zak Rudden and Jose Baxter both shot over the crossbar while Scott Wootton fired wide prior to Grants strike.
Rudden had the best opportunity in the first half of Plymouth, per second before Doyles target, when he shot directly in Steven Benda from close range.
For those hosts, substitute Kaiyne Woolery dragged a shot wide of the far post on.
